In an ironic twist, according to a recent NBC News/WSJ poll the NRA is more popular than our entertainment industry. As Bill Clinton most recently wisely stated, "Do not patronize the passionate supporters of your opponents by looking down your nose at them". He rightly recognized that his completely worthless ban on assault weapons was one of many reasons for the historic gains the GOP made when he was in office. Once again, his ambitious nature overcame his ideology......not so with TOTUS and Dem leadership as they are too beholden to extremist left wing special interests that now control the Democrat party.

Knowing how isolated and int he minority the looney left is on this issue and how insulated they are from real people, I predict the assault will continue and it will hurt them big time in the mid terms. If they back off now and drop this issue maybe they can stem the political damage, but knowing them I am optimistic that they just aren't that smart.
