Subject:   Was he really that ignorant???

Politicians change their minds all the time about all sorts of issues as does the general public (as we see in the multitude of polls where one week a majority believes in one thing and the next week it switches around).  I am sure they had politicians and polls before Carl assumed room temperature, right?  Hard to believe you want me to learn something from someone that could say something so profoundly stupid....assuming of course you have the critical thinking skills to use facts, logic and reason which is sadly lacking in this world these days.  Just one recent example is the change of heart of Sen. Portman about gay marriage but even more to the point is the most common of all political perjoratives - flip flopper.  I can assure you that term existed before Carl went to his eternal reward which is why he demonstrates his profound ignorance by making such a stupid statement.

Same is true in religion which is why we have over 30,000 Protestand sects in this country.  Yes, there are certain objective truths out there but why would anyone want to abandon something that was true? Oh I forget, liberals do that all the time if it makes them feel good about themselves.

So if this is a statement from someone we could learn from I would say we are all doomed.......but alas, we are not because I have demonstrated it to be demonstrably false.  So he was either profoundly ignorant or is a liar.......which is it?

Oh and on a final note, I would remind you that Carl never changed his mind about his religious belief in atheism but that little inconsistency probably eluded his self proclaimed brilliance......although there are lots of very brilliant former atheists......
