So folks, what percentage of the Hispanic vote would Romney have needed to win in 2012? Drum roll please........answer? According to Nate Silver's analysis it would have need to be 73%!!

Yes, that's right, he would have needed 3/4ths of the Hispanic vote in order to have beaten Obama. However, he would have only needed 5 million votes from caucasians that sat at home instead of voting for a squishy Republican or voted for the Libertarian to win. In fact, if he had gotten the same number of total votes as McCain did in 2008 he would have won. So you see, trying to be Democrat-lite is a losing strategy as we learned with Dole, Bush 41 (2nd try), McCain and Romney. Trying to appeal to Hispanics is a losing strategy.

Let's try this one, lets be a conservative Republican advocating small government, personal responsibility, lower taxes, strong national defense and traditional values. For every so-called independent that votes Dem we will pick 4 or 5 real conservatives. Its worked every time its been tried. So friendly leftists, stop trying to give us helpful advice about what we need to do to win the presidency. It has been documented to be false......but you will have to apply logic and reason.

And remember, this data came from Nate Silver and the NY Times so it must be true.
