Three Arkies in Colorado hunting, one had a elk permit, one a mule deer permit and the other a bear permit.
As they were leaving the state the Game and Fish warden pulled them over to check their game. As he threw back the trap on the pickup truck he eyed a elk with a bullet hole between the eyes.
Warden: who shot the elk?
First Guy: I did
Warden: Do you have a permit for elk and did you check your game at the check station?
First Guy: Yep and here is the check station sign off.
Then the warden pulls back the tarp and sees a large mule deer in the truck's bed with a bullet hole between his eyes.
Warden: Who killed the mule deer?
Second Guy: I did and yes I have the permit and it was checked in at the station.
Warden: Good for You
Then the warden pulls back the tarp all the way to reveal a large bear with a bullet hole between his eyes and bullet holes in both paws.
Warden: Who killed the bear?
Third Guy: I did and yes I have a permit, here it is, you can see it was checked in at the station.
Warden: I have one question for you guys, I noticed that all the game was shot between the eyes but the bear was shot in the two front paws too. When I pull over trucks with Arkansas plates all of them have something to hide, you are the first guys I have stopped that did everything right. But why did you shot the bear in the paws?
Oh said the third guy, when we threw the spot light on him he cover his eyes with his paws.
