It's like a lot of quotes taken out of context and used to incorrectly support a position that can't be supported with facts, logic and reason. Left wing nuts love pithy slogans because they lack substance. But when you take it apart and critically examine it there is usually a totally different meaning or it makes no logical sense...... In this case I doubt the author was promoting Marxism or socialism but why let that get in the way of an illogical use of a quote to support a failed ideology? It beats the heck out of examining the evidence and drawing a logical conclusion......and they feel better about themselves to boot....liberalism, the triumph of emotion over substance.
