I took a .44 Mag Ruger single action with me to an indoor range one day many years ago to show a friend, and a female shooter just had to try it out. Firing such a gun indoors is rough on your ears, but she had to fire it. She took her stance, fired, and the gun kicked back (and up) and hit her at the hair line of her forehead. Lady bled a little, but learned a lot about a .44 Mag.
