I don't believe anything coming from this administration. I think it might have been MM who said "if their lips are moving they are lying".

And if Snowden had been an honorable whistleblower he wouldn't be cowering behind some tinhorn dictator's skirts. Beside that ,has he managed to change anything? Have we scrapped the program? Me thinks he's done nothing but inform the enemy that they need to find another way to communicate.

Sorry, but I am old school. If I make a promise I keep it. If I swear to keep information in confidence I do so. To do otherwise is to lose honor. To me Snowden is not an honorable man.

LNG and others, our intelligence community is not out to spy on American citizens. It is out to protect us. It is far too easy to believe they are out to get us. The more difficult choice is to take a deep breath and trust that they feel the same way about honor as I, and have put into place firewalls that none on this forum will ever see. It is too easy to see that big, bad, NSA. It is harder to see the NSA worker who values the Constitution as you and I do, and is careful not to cross that sacred line.

Guess I blew my chances to get a mater or two with that one.......drat.
