Form email to FERC - really effective?

Rick, no offense, but most people are not going to want to click through and come up with their own things to say, much less take the hours required to read the draft EIS. The key is to make a simple email with clear action steps to get people to act.
Also, unless I am wrong about how this works with FERC - an eComment that merely says "I vote for AL Power" counts as much as an eloquent, 6,000 term paper. 1 comment, 1 vote.
So I would respectfully disagree with Rick and say, if it's your inclination to write a long, thoughtful response, great. Go for it.
But - don't let that stop you if long responses aren't your style. Use what has been suggested; that is better than doing nothing.
Just respond.
For the vast amount of people, the choice is to copy what is suggested or to do nothing.
Let's don't be critical of each other. In my opinion we have spent 6 years squabbling amongst ourselves and it has cost us.
Again I say, if writing a long response is your thing, great. Good for you. But don't begrudge folks that want to do it fast to get on the record with FERC. That's much better than nothing.
