EVERY day is a Lake Clean-Up Day to me, so while I won't be part of the group, I'll still be picking up litter when I see it. Hopefully I won't be seeing as much as usual, thanks to shay and his efforts. But to me, keeping the lake litter-free isn't a one-day deal.

I'm sorry I have missed cleaning up that spot you mention, though I certainly would have if I had known about it. But why haven't YOU cleaned it? Why have you left hundreds of beer cans sitting there? Do you need a Special Day to care enough to keep the lake clean? Is the possibility of prizes what motivates you to pick up trash, even if it's not your own?
