Moses came down from the mountaintop and gathered the children of Israel to hear about what God had decreed from on high. He addresses the crowd "I have been in serious negotiations with God on the new commandments of law that will guide us as we go forward. I bring you some good news and some bad news. The good news is that, Through my excellent negotiating skills, I have been able to talk him down from 14 to 10. The bad news is no adultery is still on the list."
