Very similar observation having grown up in the 70's. I can't think of one successful pothead from the 70's that didn't grow up and move on. But I can surely think of a slew of them that are still hopelessly wasted. A few are still smoking pot and can't keep a job. The rest moved onto hard drugs and are either dead or in and out of rehab living a dead end existence.

I can tell you for sure that regardless of whether it is legalized we will still drug test and terminate anyone that is using. Our clients demand it and we do too. If you want to smoke pot and drink on the job you need to go to work at a union job.
