I live in Montgomery and just a few days ago a house burned in a nearby subdivision. The family's parents live across the street from me.They literally lost everything. The cause of the fire was caused by a golf cart that was in the garage and the battery was being charged. The reason I am posting this is because there has been several postings in the past about charging  marine batteries. Also, there has been discussion about using heat lamps or other methods during cold weather. I thought this information would be useful in reminding everyone about the dangers inherent in charging batteries and the upcoming cold weather.
