Obamacare is really not effective today other than allowing children to remain on a parents policy until age 26. 

The big deal with Obamacare is everyone will have coverage for pre existing conditions. No one can be canceled for too many claims. No one can receive a premium increase due to too many claims. No one will pay a higher premium when they sign up due to medical problems. There are no annual or lifetime dollar limit on the  benefits.

Some of the issues depending on who the carrier is that you sign up with, they may restrict which hospital and doctor you can use.

The site below will allow you to calculate a premium and any eligible subsidy based on your income. As I understand, there will be 3 plans…Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The premium shown is for the Silver plan.
