Very limited information is available about the accident on Sandy Creek which occurred in the water toward the end of Old Susannah Road.  Information available indicates two young boys were injured while riding a tube.  Seems the tow line broke and the children were thrown into trees on the side of the lake.  The injuries were severe enough that the boys were air lifted to a hospital in Birmingham with head injuries.  To find out more information you will probably have to contact family members of the injured due to their age and medical privacy laws.  We can all second guess what happened, but towing anyone that close to the bank is very dangerous, and hopefully we will all learn from this terrible accident
