Sorry hit the wrong button. The modem has the same limitations as your cell phone. That being said if you get good reception from Verizon now your modem will probably work fine. You can as an alternative also set your phone up as a modem. The issue with this being that when you recieve or make a call anyone utilizing the modem function will probably loose the signal. Again we had one for two years worked great at the lake but sucked in Birmingham at our house so we cannceled the service and bought uverse at home. We decided that the wireless was only a distraction at the lake anyway.
