In reading an article on HuffnPuff about Dems wringing their hands about whether things could get worse I took a tremendous chance and looked at the comments and it was absolutely fascinating.  If you changed Dem party to GOP, liberal to conservative, etc. you would think it was a conservative publication complaining about RINOs.  Literally the commenters were all posting things about how the reason they lost is they act like Republican-lite, are beholden to rich corporations, too old, not progressive enough, etc., etc.  

These people really and truly believe that the failure of Dems was not being liberal enough, not putting bankers in prison, etc.  This is the challenge that Billary faces because these are the very same people that will determine who the nominee is in 2016.  But they are really out of touch wth ordinary Americans that are not enamored with big government liberalism as for now we are a right of center country.  I recognize that these folks mostly represent the elite white liberal class (a great number of them are in academia or community agitating) but they vote and they are active and donate way more money than many of the other Dem constituencies.

Interestingly they don't seem too enamored with Obola or excited about Billary.  I suspect these are the folks that love Pochohantas Warren and Bernie Sanders.  Billary is really going to have to tact hard left to get their support and even then it is going to be a challenge.  My point is that politicians many of us think of as left of Josef Stalin are considered by left wing nuts as almost right wingers.  Interesting stuff.
