While the third largest block, they still only represent about 12% of the total seats which is still less than their percentage of the population. What will be more interesting is to see if a coalition government will be formed and what it will look like. Funny that they call winning 30 of 120 seats a decisive victory for the Likud party. I am not a big fan of this form of government because it is so easily fractured when these coalitions fall apart. But it has some benefits over our two party system. Either way, their victory will set the tone for Israel for a while and it will continue to be at odds with the Obama administration over Iran and nukes.
I wonder how much effort and money the State Dept put into trying to defeat him? I am betting it was more than they would like to admit.
