We also purchased the Maui Mat brand from Russell on sale around Christmas. I believe it's 6x18 or there abouts. I suspect it's thicker than the ones at Sam's, but not sure. We have ours anchored to a 5 gal bucket which contains a concrete block in about 8' of water and this seems to work fine. We've not had any issues at all with wind or waves. The bucket also has a float tethered to it so that we can locate it to attach the mat. Grands love it and spend all afternoon running and jumping off of the thing. Seems to be well made although it's a bit of a challenge rolling it up and storing. Worth the effort, however, and would buy again.
