The Council of Conservative Citizens, which publicly states that it opposes "all efforts to mix the races of mankind", has said through a spokesman that they condemn the Charleston killings, but that Mr Roof had "legitimate grievances" against black people.  What does the forum think about this comment?  Does anybody agree that we are right to hold some "legitimate grievances" against our black citizenery?  Is it OK to have such feelings?  Do any of you feel this way?

The president of this association has given campaign contributions to many Republican candidates including Ted Cruz, Rick Santorum, Scott Walker and Rand Paul.  After the event in Charleston and the fact of the contributions became public, the 4 mentioned gentlemen have all either refunded the funds or diverted them to charity. Were they unaware of who the funds were from when received?  If so, did they have any qualms about accepting them?  Had the source of the funds not been made public how would they have reacted vis a vis refunding the contributions?  Ted Cruz gave the money back to C of CC.  Was giving it back to this group ok, or should he have given it to charity instead as did the other 3?

I am not trying to be a smart ass or trying to make trouble, but this forum overall is without doubt the most conservative group, by far, that I ever have any interaction with, and believe me I have some very conservative friends and associates, so I have to wonder if any of you have beliefs in line with the Council of Conservative Citizens?  Are any of you members of this organization or similar organizations?  Do any of you have a problem with our political leaders knowingly accepting contributions from such groups?

Just curious.
