I know what you mean about Trump. Of course, I'm used to Donald for all the years I lived in NJ, before he was a national figure. He's always been outspoken and a bit outrageous. I'm convinced part of that is just his public persona and he has always been an attention hound. I don't consider him a serious candidate, but I'm glad that he speaks out. I wonder if people don't find him a bit shocking, because he isn't interested in being politically correct or being seen as smooth and polished.
As far as the Latino vote, you have me. I've read that Latinos are the fastest growing segment of our society, but I suspect even within their segment there are a broad spectrum of views. Not all of them are Democrats and not all of the are wanting handouts from the government. It will be interesting to see what happens with the Latino vote with Marco Rubio in the mix.
