I think what you are seeing with Trump is the anti-politician.  The majority of people are fed up with Washington.  Both parties double speak, say whatever is the prevailing wind for their base, and lie.   The main thing about Trump is that he has a thick skin and doesn't react to detractors.  This is not politcal theatre for him, he has alway been this way.  Is there any doubt in your mind, right now, what he would say to Putin, to China, to North Korea and Iran?  The right has been saying that they want a "business" approach to government - well if that is true, who better to provide it.  No matter what is said about him, he is a very successful businessman.  You may not like his style, but he is a successful.  Given the rest of the field, I'm not sure that he isn't going to stay a frontrunner.  He's shaking things up and my sensing is that what people want.

Unfortunately, I am afraid that the Democratic party is going to fold in on itself.  The majority of people don't trust Hiliary - probably for good reason.  I keep noting that her tone and her body language, and not just her vague answers are doing her in.  I personally think she is damaged goods.  I like some things Bernie has to say, but he's going to have to detail where all the money for his government programs will come from.  And I don't think Biden will stand a chance if he runs. He's run before, he's a retread.  He's not far enough to the left to appease the extreme left.  Nice guy, but at the end of the day, he is part of the Washington establishment.  He was first elected to Congress at age 29.
