I completely agree with Hound...in most instances people tend to be in different places on the political spectrum depending on the issue and their own experience or perception of the issue. As I say "in most cases".  That does not apply to what l think is the majority of this forum.  Most are ideologues whose opinions are completely determined by politics, party and talking points.  If the exact same agreement (and it very possible could have been so) with Iran had been negotiated by George W Bush, or President McCain or President Romney the stalwarts of this forum would embrace it as would the GOP Congress. Sadly the Congressional Democrats would condemn it.  That is what is so frustrating to those of us who are not on the extremes, those of us who still see the wisdom and necessity in compromise in successfully governing a huge and diverse nation.

It is frankly easier to name the folks on this forum who are not right wing nuts...they include but are perhaps not limited to me, Hound, Copper, GF, several others who no longer post (hope they weren't scared away by the abuse they suffered) and You Mr H in your more thoughtful moments.
