The first primary is at the end of January.  The election isn't until Nov 2016.   End of PSR.

I've said it before and that is that Trump is the "anti-politician".  He is way ahead in the polls - 32% to Jeb Bush's 16% and Ben Carson is a distant 3rd.  Everyone else is 7% or lower.   It would not surprise me to see him stay ahead in the polls for a long time, even though he continues to make ridiculous remarks (Heidi Klum is no longer a 10; Secretariat is not that great a horse, etc.)  People like him, because he has a plan - you may not think it is workable or realistic - but that is appealing to people who find the current climate in Washington of putting everything on the "too hard" list and not doing anything,frustrating.   You cannot take away from him that he is a smart businessman, a brilliant negoitator (have you ever read "the Art of the Deal"?) and he has a diverse background.  He makes money at the things he does, and when he stops making money, he sells out and moves on. 

I also like Carly Firorino.  I think she is smart, but right now she's not getting any oxygen.

A good question to ask yourself - would you prefer a someone that appeals to your "conservative" needs that can't get anything done, or someone who is less conservative and can call the shots (and make them)?
