You are dead on.  i just think he isn't interested in national security and sees foreign affairs as an unnecessary distraction from his real goal, the transformation of America into whatever he thinks it should be. Most likely a European style democratic socialist state. Climate change is a way for him to promote that agenda because all of the prescriptions always include big government, wealth transfers from developed to undeveloped countries, etc.  Regadless of what we and the Europeans do to reduce carbon usage, China, india, Russia, the entire Middle East, etc. are not going to destroy their economies based on a scam.  This isn't about climate change, it's about more and bigger government and this is just an excuse to get there.
