.........for those who don’t know much about it.

1.        Being homosexual means you are sexually attracted to people of your own gender.  Currently, and in all the years leading up today, homosexual boys shower with the heterosexual boys, and homosexual girls are in the girl’s bathroom.   It has always been this way.
2.       Being Transgender means you feel that your true sexual identity is that of the other sex, not the one you were born with.  Boys who are transsexual feel like they should be girls & have female psychology.   And they are attracted to boys.   If they look & act effeminate enough, other boys will respond to them like they are girls.   Transgender women look like men, dress like men, talk like men…. And are attracted to women.     Many transgender people have had gender reassigning surgery, giving them sexual features consistent with how they feel.   You know, boobs and such, surgically constructed vaginas or penises….
3.       You have been using the restroom with transsexual people for a long time now, you just didn’t know it.   They have been concealing themselves to keep their lives private, avoid embarrassing confrontations and possible attacks by people who are homophobic. 
4.       Requiring transsexuals to use the bathroom of their birth gender means you will find someone in a dress entering the stall next to you (if you are a guy), or you will notice a very male-looking person entering the restroom your wife just entered.  Just don’t get upset if they smile at you and this makes you feel uncomfortable, after all… they are using the restroom you want them in.
5.        In the absence of a bathroom monitor who checks the sex organs of everyone entering the restroom, it is probably simpler just to let people decide which bathroom is appropriate for their use and continue to teach children to report and avoid inappropriate sexual advances from strangers… regardless of what clothing they are wearing.   And, of course, the simplest solution of all… a private unisex restroom, similar to those “family restrooms” where parents can have some privacy with their kids.
