I don't know squat about Kayaks but you might want to look at purchasing one from Walmart, try it out. If you like it then look at getting a bigger/better one. WM in Alex city had a bunch of them last time I was there.

Also, I have a friend who has a 'sit-on' Kayak and she loves it.
