I cannot remember the exact quote or who said it but it was along the line " The people who are most wrong about what they think to be correct are the ones most certain they are correct and the people who are most correct are the ones who are the most unsure that they think is correct."

When a major political group refuses to recognize the provable scientific facts it is a very dangerous group.  Scientific truth is never conservative or liberal.
