They have suffered, they have had their land stolen, they have been uprouted and forced onto reservations, their negotiated treaties have been broken, and their sacred sites desecrated...but they were never enslaved!  True, they have not ''rioted''*, neither have 99+% of blacks.  They have and are strongly protesting in many venues, but their numbers are small as would be expected for a people who comprise only 1% of our population.  I do have to wonder whether the same could be said if they made up 13% of our population and were largely ill housed in crowded sections of our large cities and, sadily, still treated by many of our fellow Americans as 2d class citizens.  Bottom line, it is hard to understand how you can justify a National Museum for one abused segment of America but object to a Museum for a larger segment that has been abused and enslaved.

*  FYI:  Many American Indian groups are demanding reparations and even return of the ''lands stolen from them''.
