to think that these federal employees (not the appointees, since they are put there to further the President's agenda) would be a party to this farce. When you are a federal employee, you are supposed to be apolitical. Campaigning and participating in those kinds of activities is a violation of the Hatch Act. You have no idea how many time I had to speak to my employees during election seasons to stay away from campaign websites, signing up for campaign activities, etc. And if they came to a different conclusion and were overruled by the appointees, I can only imagine the morale issues. This whole thing just stinks.
