I agree with the right to peaceful protest but when it spills over into breaking laws and violating the rights of others law and order must prevail. As you say, when people are on their way to or from work or happen to be traveling through an area where traffic is being blocked, law enforcement can't just turn their heads and wait for things to clear up, or worse, wait for violence to break out. Can you imagine a parent or even a teenager who may be driving with a vehicle load of children on their way to or from school having to face such endangerment. The longer these types of protests are allowed to continue the more intense these situations are going to become. President Obama just stands quietly by while his children are escorted where ever they may go by the Secret Service.
