The reason you are not hearing anything about it from the lame stream media is that it does not make the liberals look good.  Higher education in America is a joke, it is a not a place of free speech or thought.

My daughter had to take a public speaking class  a few years back for her degree, the instructor made it well known that he was homosexual, and that any pretty girls, and in his words "All them damn cheerleaders" were going to have a really hard time in his class. My son when he was in highschool knows more about the sexual orientation of his teachers and their political beliefs then is necessary, why the hell are these things even discussed?  He was there to learn math, science, english etc, not that teacher A swings both ways, or that teacher B had to have a safe zone around kids who did not hold her political beliefs.

The coward who peppersprayed the young lady directly in the eyes, around here would have had his ass stomped into a mudhole for such a shameful attack on anyone, regardless of the alternative point of view - the protesters should have taken him behind the woodshed - but I guess in the minds of the students and administration of Berkeley assault and battery is acceptable if it meets a political purpose, but if someone had put a hand on the pepperspraying punk I am sure that person would have been arrested for being a violent republican for coming to the aid of someone who was now blinded by point blank spray.

If someone wants to peacefully protest go for it, blocking roads, overpasses, riots, vandalism and arson should be a one way ticket to the nearest holding facility.

The administration of Berkley should refund the security fees that the students paid to keep the event "secure" and if anyone finds out who the punk with pepperspay is there should be assault charges filed.  If could have been much worse if she was asthmatic or had other conditions - could have been charges of murder or manslaughter.

Actions have consequences, keep it up liberals - your just reinforcing the idea to the rest of America that yall are damn nutz.

Funny the Mayor or Berkeley hours before the event!!

"Using speech to silence marginalized communities and promote bigotry is unacceptable. Hate speech isn't welcome in our community."

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2014/dec/12/undercover-officer-pulls-gun-on-oakland-protesters

An undercover California highway patrol officer who had infiltrated protests against police violence in Oakland pulled a gun on demonstrators after his and his partner’s cover was blown.

The Berkeley Daily Planet reported that the two men tried to walk away, but the couple of dozen remaining protesters “persisted, screaming at the two undercover cops”. The Planet said that an officer “pushed a protester aside”. The demonstrator allegedly pushed back and was tackled and handcuffed.

“Somebody snatched a hat off the shorter guy’s head and he was fumbling around for it. A guy ran up behind him, knocked him down on the ground. That guy jumped backed up and chased after him and tackled him and the crowd began surging on them,” Short said.

He told the Chronicle that the officer pulled a small baton out, then a gun, after the crowd started “surging” them. The Planet reported that more officers quickly moved in to disperse demonstrators.

In a stunning admission, the patrol’s Golden Gate Division told the San Francisco Chronicle that officers had been dressing like and walking with protesters since the first demonstration on 24 November, attempting to gather intelligence to stop highway shutdowns.

And assualting officers, had not heard that in the news!!!!!
