I didn't know one way or another but I do know that it wasn't good politics.  His "friendly" interview with CNN was a disaster.  

Also didn't help him that he has been living with his girfriend for 12 years and he is only 30.  And his ads were insulting to our intelligence.  If you didn't know that he worked for Congressman Hank "Guam is tipping over" Johnson you would think he was a right wing nut.  Why do liberals have to lie about what they believe to get elected?  I know, rhetorical question.....  

Having said all that, he can still win the runoff.  It will all be about turnout and he will have the cash to make a run at it.  If you look at the early voting results he was way ahead (got up into the mid 50's) but went in the tank on election day.  Frankly, if he was a better candidate there is no reason he should have lost.  He had the money, he looks like pajama boy, he was willing to say anything to get elected, etc.  As Politico said, when will the Dems start winning?  Answer could be June 20th if the GOP muffs this.
