All Trump said, why was there a civil war?  And couldn't something other than war be done (i'm paraphrasing).  The man thinks "outsided the box" and he looks at things from different angles.  As we all know, the Civil War wasn't about the morality of keeping slaves - it was about States' rights and economics.  He questions conventional wisdom and I like that in a President.  He just sometimes thinks out loud and the media and Democrats rush to criticize him, but if you listen closely he was thinking about it from another angle.  I think that is pretty smart.

Oh, and I watched the interview with Trump and the Face the Nation guy(senior moment on name).  Yes, Trump did end the interview abruptly when the wiretapping was brought up.  They were standing in his office, he was talking about the desk, the pictures, and about the effect of the Oval office on visitors.  And out of the blue, he was blindsided by a bunch of questions about wiretapping.  It had nothing to do with what they were talking about a second before.  Last time I checked, when it's your office you decide the agenda and you decide when the meeting is over.  It was a media cheap shot.

One other interesting thing - Trump keeps two chairs in front of his desk.  He apparently doesn't go in for the "we're all equal" style of discussions in his office, settling on the couch.    Putting the desk between him and visitors to his office is a show of authority.  I like that too.

I like Trump.  What can I say?  He doesn't pretend he is not in charge, he says what he thinks, and he doesn't rely on conventional wisdom.
