Well, pruning actually needs to be done strategically and with great care, repotting is done with some preparation and attention to protecting the roots…..neither should be done impulsively and without thinking it through first. As a friend once told me, “you can’t uncut what’s cut”. Your guy is full of impulsiveness, as well an absolute belief that nothing he will do will come to harm (him).

But that’s a narcissist for you.

He also doesn’t take the advice of more knowledgeable gardeners…… and the fact that he has never been in this situation before doesn’t deter him from believing he knows what he is doing….even after repeated missteps. If I understand the Trump Philosophy you are describing, it is that his chaos always leads to improvement & positive growth…. Funny, I assumed thoughtful conservatives would be opposed to far-fetched philosophies like Anarchy…..and much more concerned about the risks.

So, no, the airplane analogy gets my point across just fine. And we are all at risk because we really are passengers on this flight.

I’m going back on my hiatus now. I know from past experience here that I am not persuading any Trump supporters to reconsider what they have done. Better to let Trump do the persuading, & we can all watch this together.
