The construction nerd in me can't resist chiming in on this one....
An architect would cringe at the term "paint"... it's always funny. Bridges have a "high performance coating". It's typically a 3 part system and most are warrantied for 15+ years.
Tnemec is one such manufaturer of these coatings, the floroploymer top coat can run as much as $400 per gallon!!
It addition to the crazy price tag, the application must take place in very strigent enviromental conditions along with frequent testing. All must be documented according to manufacturer requirements in order to obatain the warranty.
