and John McCain was saying we MUST punish Russia for their actions, yet he doesn't propose what we should do.  Which is why he was not elected President. 

There is no value to Russia in admitting they did the hacking.  Trump is not going to accuse them, beyond whatever was said at the meeting.  Have we forgotten that Russia still has our favorite little hacker?  The point is this - we need to move on, and we need to develop better cyber security, which I am sure is in the works, but they are not going to acknowledge it.  If we definitively know they did, then we definitively know how they did it. 

I was far more interested in the ceasefire agreement with Russia about Syria- but of course, no one want to talk about that.  Because that sounds like progress.  And it's well known that the media outlets are determined not to report anything that is either good or progress to a situation. 

I'm more interested in what is going to be done with North Korea.  People say sanctions, but I think we have aleady sanctioned them and I don't know how else we can sanction them, unless China does it.  We are currently doing a show of force with South Korea and Japan, near the DMZ.  Maybe that will give KJU something to think about, but I doubt it.  He seems to love having the world pay attention to him.
