We live on the North side.  A few years ago I was checking the Pool Level for Cross Lake and I'm thinking it has always been 172 feet.  The water level in our canal has been low for a long time.  I just checked and we are now at 170.05 feet and it is saying the Pool Level is 171 feet.  Has Shreveport changed the Pool Level? I know heavy rains can cause flooding, but when you live low near a body of water you are required to have Flood Insurance.  Is Shreveport malipulating the lake level because of past law suits?

There is a lady at city hall that tells the water department when to open & close the gates.  Hope she doesn't drain the lake ahead of Hurricane Harvey. ?
