I've had my place for about five years. The first couple of years I could easily see five feet into the water during the summer. At the end of summer there would be a film f algae, maybe an eighth or quarter of an inch. For the last few years I can't see more than maybe two feet, and the water is very green. And like I said, there is at least an inch of algae on steps. I don't know all the tests that are being done, but if they test for clarity and algae growth and are not showing lower clarity and more algae growth then I question if they are accurate. Certainly I can't be the only one who is noticing the degradation.
