It gets even better.  The breathless news about Carter Page telling Sessions about Russia turns out to be a complete joke.  Apparently he came up to Sessions after some dinner, thanked him for it and mentioned casually that he was going to Russia to give a speech.  He said in his testimony that Sessions didn't even acknowledge the comment and turned to shake hands with someone else.  He further said he would be very surprised if Sessions even remembered the conversation and that it had nothing to do with the campaign.  And it also turns out that Sessions rejected Papadopolous' suggestion of a Putin-Trump meeting.  Both of these are exculpatory but you wouldn't know form the way it was being covered.  No wonder Trump rails about the fake news.
