I am usually wary of these historical movies but the Darkest Hour was a really fine film. Despite taking some literary license at various points it did an amazing job communicating just how bad things were in the early part of his being PM. And Gary Oldham deserves an Oscar as best actor. I saw his face early on but as the movie went on he just became Churchill in my mind. This one makes Dunkirk pale in comparison.
