As many of us with a brain suspected, in fact the FISA court based their decision to surveil the Trump campaign based on opposition research paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC.  It is no wonder Democrats were so opposed to its release.  And also why they are running up and down K Street with their hair on fire.  In a normal world this alone would be sufficient cause to fire Mueller and end the investigation.  But this is not a normal world.  Some highlights or more accurately lowlights from the memo.

* The Steele dossier formed an essential part of the initial and all three renewal FISA applications against Carter Page.

* Andrew McCabe confirmed that no FISA warrant would have been sought from the FISA Court without the Steele dossier information.

* The political origins of the Steele dossier were known to senior DOJ and FBI officials, but excluded from the FISA applications.

* DOJ official Bruce Ohr met with Steele beginning in the summer of 2016 and relayed to DOJ information about Steele's bias. Steele told Ohr that he, Steele, was desperate that Donald Trump not get elected president and was passionate about him not becoming president.

In a normal world every American would be deeply disturbed at the concept of a Presiden weaponzing federal agencies for political benefit....but we don't live in a normal world.  And recall, the DOJ/FBI have already stated that the facts in the memo are correct but are concerned about omissions.  Maybe those will be addressed by Schiff's memo which I believe should also be released.
