I am not an apologist for anyone. But, I happen to believe that public people are entitled to a personal life. We all make our moral choices and even those who think they are leading examplary lives in public have some skeletons in their closet. Do I agree with Trump's moral choices? Not really, but they are his to make and not mine to judge. I think far too much time is spent trying to dig dirt about public figures.
Funny too, because I just re-read "The Death of a President" by Williman Manchester. Back then, it would seem that no one was wanting to air Kennedy's dirty laundry (and subsequently, we learned that he had quite a lot of it) in the wake of his death. I think it is time we let up on public figures and their personal lives. If Trump had an affair with a porn star, and Malania has found a way to accept that, then who are we to judge.
