Because we have the ability to do so, we just avoid going out on the weekends.  Too much boat traffic of all kinds, people pulling tubes, jet skiers.  Sometimes we have the problem of people coming into our slough fast, sending the boats of us who live here banging and bouncing.  I think part of the problem is that people don't take safe boating rules seriously, and some don't care to follow any kind of boat ettiquiette.  It's just about them. And I wonder how many parents are even aware of what their kids are doing on the jet skies and wake boats.  But as long as it is a public lake and as long as there isn't much money for Marine Police, thngs are unlikely to get better.
