For what it's worth the 16 point lead held by Democrats has shrunk to 3 points today (47-44).  Add to that Trump's gradual rise and it certainly casts a shadow over the blue wave predicted for November.  Even more promising in my view was the results of the primaries where GOP participation grew significantly while Democrats were static.  I suspect that if this holds, GOP participation will be very strong in November which will certainly help.  I think people are seeing the improved economy, the still disastrous Obamacare and the specter of impeachment regardless of the evidence if Democrats get control of the House and are waffling.  Also doesn't help that the base of the Democrat party has turned hard socialist and Bernie Sanders seems to be their standard bearer.  Most people with any knowledge of history and economics understand what a disaster his ideas are for the country.

At this point I am still inclined to believe the House will switch but I am less certain of that outcome than I was 6 months ago.  Of course a lot can happen between now and then, including the issuance of the Mueller report.  Maybe there will be something there but the lack of leaks about actual evidence of collusion leads me to think that the report may include some negative findings but none related to their original reason for existence.
