"If things become more expensive, then people will just have to buy less.  Is that really a bad thing?" I was responding to this question....

She may be willing to pay more. But, she may be the execption depending on the product. 

We import 86% of the aluminum used in the US. including 36% from Canada.

Are goods made in the US with aluminum from Canada with a 25% tariff considered American Made? The price of the product will rise and less will be bought was the question. Is that good or bad??? And I responded............... It all depends on the elasticity of demand for the product.
