No, it is exactly the same thing.  You are the one being intellectually dishonest by saying with one crime it's OK to separate children from thjeir parents but not with other crimes. And give me a break about police not wanting to arrest someone in front of their kids.  It happens all the time and is a result of their bad choices.

If you come into the country illegally you have committed a Federal offense (Title 8, Section 1325 of the U.S. Code) punishable by 6 months in prison for the first offense and up to 2 years for a 2nd offense)....period.  They are simply enforcing the laws as written and this is a completely fake issue, especially since it happened under Obama and no one, not you, nor any of the left wing media cared a whit about it then.
