There are tax breaks as a contractor that you cannot take advantage as an employee. You need to maintain a professional relationship with the boss lady. Have they hired a replacement so you can begin train them? Try and get the boss lady to give you a big bump in salary before you retire so it is included in your pension calculation. You will then know how valuable you really are. Show some ambition by suggesting improvements to the process beyond just doing your daily tasks and then posting.
