I have taken many photos of my boat, today I tried to transfer the photos from SD card to my computer, but suddenly it crashed with no reasons, should I hire data recovery company or download data recovery software to recover those photos?

I talked with many data recovery company nearby, but they charge high price for the photo recovery that I cannot afford, and then I tried to find data recovery software, but many of them claimed they are the best, therefore, I couldn't decide which one could be my choice.

I really need those photos, coz today I need to send to my friends, peter, he asked for my photos yesterday.Do you guys have such experiences to recover lost photos before? Please PM me with your answer, Thanks very much.
