Sexual abuse does not necessarly mean from gays.  I think you will find that the sexual abuse cases go back before the advent of allowing gays to be troop leaders.  I understand, MM.  You have gay derangment syndrome so you will blame them.  It sounds like the BSA has had management problems for a long time.  

When I was a Brownie, our troop leader used to steal our dues to pay her electric and phone bill.  That was enough for some parents to pull their kids from the program.  Then a German woman took over, and some left because they felt she was a Nazi (remember this was in the early 60s)  People don't participate in scouting for a lot of different reasons.  Some kids, no doubt, get involved with sports and give up the time they used to spend on scouting.  Also, among two career families, there may not be enough time to become a leader.
