I believe the larger point rather than listing Muslin contributions to our current civilization is to understand that these achievements occurred during the so called muslim golden age, which from what I can decipher, lasted from the 10th to 15th centuries.  Now give any non muslim society 500 years and list their contributions to current civilization and I believe you will be as equally impressed if not moreso.
